Australia's Top Drawing & Coloring Apps Show Varied Trends in Q1 2021

Australia witnessed a dynamic first quarter in 2021 for the Drawing & Coloring app category. Data compiled by Sensor Tower provides insight into the performance of the top applications in this creative niche.

Phone Case DIY started strong with downloads peaking at 70K in the second week of January, but saw a decline to 16K by the beginning of February. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, soaring to 114K in mid-January before dropping to around 62K by the end of March.

The Happy Color® Art Coloring Book app showed more stability in revenue, maintaining between $325 and $841 throughout the quarter. Downloads ranged from 9K to 12K early on, with a notable increase to nearly 10K in the final week of March. Active users remained consistent, staying within the 83K to 93K range.

Lion Studios' Silhouette Art saw a modest revenue trend with a peak at $121 in mid-March. Downloads saw a gradual decrease from 15K at the start of the period to around 5K by the end. Weekly active users followed a similar downward trajectory, starting at 22K and ending at 11K.

Pixel Art － Color by Number from Easybrain generated the most revenue among the apps, with earnings between $3.3K and $4.9K. The download count for this app showed a slight recovery from 3K in early February to 7K at the quarter's close. Active users saw a slight dip from 66K to 53K.

Lastly, Color by Number：Coloring Games experienced a revenue range from $2.9K to $4.2K, with a noticeable drop at the end of March. The download figures started at 8.8K, dipped to 3.1K in mid-February, but rebounded to 5K by the end of March. Weekly active users declined from 35K to 22K.
